Kenya is divided into 47 Counties. Kenya Counties are created by The Constitution of Kenya, 2010. Article 6 (1) of the Constitution states that: “The territory of Kenya is divided into counties specified in the First Schedule”. The complete list of the Kenya Counties are provided below.
Through the spirit of devolution as enshrined in the constitution, Kenya Counties are poised to be the growth centers that will propel Kenya toward Vision 2030. The key factors of production; land and labor are in abundance in the counties. The counties will control agriculture, county health services, public amenities, trade development, county transport, planning and development. Kenya Counties are headed by the Governors, first elected on 4th March, 2013. The governors work in consultation with the central government with the president at the head.

- West Pokot
- Trans Nzoia
- Uasin Gishu
- Homa Bay
- Nairobi City
